Things For You To Know!
+ What does BIPOC mean?
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
+ What is counseling and how can you help?
Counseling is a cohesive process between a licensed/credentialed professional and a client seeking improvement. The therapist provides support, guidance, and clarity as the client resolves personal concerns holding them from being their true authentic self, and having the life that comes with that freedom. Many people seek counseling for anxiety, communication issues, depression, addiction-related issues, relationship issues, and self-esteem.
As a trained professional, who has helped others similar to you, the ability to notice patterns, challenges, and barriers that have affected you is sharpened. My role in your therapeutic process is to help you recognize those patterns - and to assist you with goals, efforts, and strategies to make positive and lasting changes in your daily life.
+ How much will therapy cost me? Do you accept insurance?
Go Fearless PLLC does accept several insurance policies. Before your first appointment, you should check with your insurance company to determine your deductible, co-pay and possible session limits.
Accepted insurance policies include Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna, Baylor Scott & White, Cigna, HealthSmart, & Optum Health/UHC/UMR.
If you do not have insurance or Go Fearless PLLC is out of network for you, the initial session will cost $220; subsequent sessions are $190. Payments are due at the time of session in the form of cash or credit/debit cards.
The cost of services depends on a number of factors including your provider’s fee, frequency of services, and duration of treatment. You can receive an estimate of service costs as described below.
As of January 1, 2022, under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

+ How long will therapy last?
Therapy is a unique process for everyone, nobody has the same experience. How long your journey will “last” is something I do not hold the answer to, if I am being honest. For most, weekly sessions are where they start, once progress is to the comfort of your likeness. Then, scaling back to biweekly or monthly sessions are then discussed.
Note, that the therapeutic journey is not one that is linear. Life continues to go on as you are on this journey. Trust the process, but do not rush it. You are the expert of your life, I am only the expert by training, education, and experience. As we continue to work together, we will discuss your goals and make needed adjustments, this is done every 3 to 6 months. The goal is to increase your tools in order to help you live the life YOU want to live!
+ How do I move past the stigma about mental illness and going to counseling?
In these current times, there is a huge wave individuals of seeking mental health care. The bad news is that does not dismiss those who still hold and have certain stigmas. My belief is that everyone should work on bettering themselves, yet many will not. The stigmas will be there, you will not be able to escape them. The good news is, you are in the right place! This work will move you from worrying about the voices, thoughts, and judgments of others. You will move towards hearing your voice, following your needs, and releasing others’ power over you and your life.
Here’s a mantra for YOU - If it ain’t broke, don’t fix ain’t sh*t but trauma. It is your right to seek betterment, not an illness. Now, tap within, and activate your drip - without limits!!!
+ How confidential is therapy?
A concern of some individuals is that a friend, a coworker, or a family member will find out (without their permission) that they are seeking therapy. We assure you that your visits to/with Trelle the Therapist are completely confidential. We have established policies, procedures, and systems to ensure our ongoing commitment to comply with HIPPA regulations. Legally, there are some instances when we are required to break confidentiality. This includes your telling us you are or have been sexually abused, you are currently suicidal or homicidal, you have been abused by another mental health professional, or your records are subpoenaed by the courts. Aside from these incidents, your information will be kept confidential.
